VTech Toys division is seeking an experienced, passionate, and creative Sr. Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for managing all day to day product development activities from conception to approved product stage under general guidance of the Director of Product Development and input from overseas colleagues. Responsibilities for our Sr. Project Manager include:• Oversee segment of US product line to ensure it meets the strategies set forth by management, maintain product roadmaps, SKU count, price points, play patterns and design/color consistency across the range. • Assist in developing annual project schedules; suggest process improvement ideas for reducing development timelines. • Research, develop and maintain educational content across product line.• Act as a liaison between licensors and Hong Kong team to ensure proper use of licensed property and communicating project information.• Assist Marketing and Sales with specific details on major product initiatives including POP material, packaging, cross-sells, and retail specific requests.• Review recorded voice files, perform program testing, and provide product-specific feedback to Hong Kong design and engineering teams. • Write and edit product-specific copy and content with a focus on educational material and creative game play.• Monitor competitor products and market trends.Our ideal candidate will have the following experience:• BS/BA • 5+ years of experience in product development/product design as it relates to the development of educational and/or electronic consumer products • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation and presentation skills• Ability to manage projects from conception to product stage• Ability to manage budgets, costs, develop metrics• Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or issues• Strong computer skills; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint• Solid competency in time management, prioritization and project management• Comfort with technology, flow charts, and analytical thinking Location: Arlington Heights, IL Compensation: CompetitivePrincipals only.
